Celebration in the Oaks

On December 12th, members gathered to experience a holiday tradition in New Orleans Celebration in the Oaks at City Park. After a full day of training at the COABE/Pro-Literacy Conference members unwound by taking in the lights, hanging out, and spending some down time together. The "Reindeer-alligator" was only one of the many displays. Members also enjoyed visiting Mr. Bingle (a symbol of the holidays here in New Orleans), the Cajun Night before Christmas light show, and Storyland and the City Park Amusement Park in lights (the first time these two areas have been part of the celebration since the storm). Some of the members then headed out to a post lights dinner.
