St. Vincent De Paul Adult Learning CenterThe St. Vincent de Paul - Adult Learning Center (SVDP-ALC) was created after Hurricane Katrina in response to the need of many of the formerly displaced citizens of New Orleans for improvements in their educational and literacy skills in order to become more competitive in a radically changed business environment "after the storm." Although the focus of SVDP-ALC is on English language skills and mathematics, many other subjects are covered. The education offered at SVDP-ALC may improve a student's life in many ways, besides being better prepared for the business environment, including emotionally and even spiritually.
